Once and for all:
1. GPA matters. Its essentially your first
impression.
2. Character matters. They might listen to you
because you are presentable, but they'll only
keep listening if you have substance.
3. Relationships matter, even your best friends.
Humans were not made to be solitary, and
nobody succeeds on their own.
4. Money matters. It doesn't buy you
happiness, but it is the enabler of it in our
modern world, so suck it up. If you have it,
good for you. If you don't, try to get it or quit
whining, bitch.
5. The people who don't matter, matter. They
may mean nothing to you, but reputations last
a lifetime.
6. Love matters. Love is the purest form of
happiness there is. It is contentment without
boredom, gratitude without regret, excitement
without danger, joy without hunger.
7. Love is not kindness. Love is an emotion,
kindness is a virtue.
8. Being in a relationship is not about love. We
can love anyone if we put our hearts to it, but
relationships (and marriage) are more about
commitment. Love just makes commitment
easier - sometimes.
9. It's not about comparing upwards and
feeling envious as opposed to comparing
downwards and feeling better. The less
fortunate should make you appreciative, and
the more fortunate should make you
ambitious.
10. This make be ironic considering the rest of
this post, but lastly: morals and beliefs are not
there for you to attack and judge people with.
They are there for you to live by them, and
perhaps advise. There is a fine line between
advice and judgment.
